I just got Woodworking at Indie Bookstore Day! I'm so glad to know the audio is good – I might do both. And the other two you mentioned are also on my shelf! I need to prioritize them.
So good to hear from you! I'm reading a lot of non-fiction these days. Listening to Joy Reid narrate her new book, Medgar and Merle: Medgar Evers and the Love Story that Awakened America, and reading Elaine Weiss's new book, Spell Freedom: The Underground Schools that Built the Civil Rights Movement. The two came up at the same time by coincidence, but they're very complementary, which is interesting and fun.
Thank you! When I heard about the new Elaine Weiss book I thought of you! It sounds really interesting. It's always fun when the books you're reading talk to each other.
I'm currently reading Audition (I'm 2/3 through) and I have no idea what is going on, haha! I'm surprised that that this is your first Allende book, but I'm glad you are enjoying it. I'm looking forward to when I get my library copy!
Audition is definitely a book you'll want to discuss with others! I don't know how this is my first Allende either – I've had another on my shelf for years.
Ahhhh yay! So so happy to see you in my inbox this morning with my first ☕️ of the day! I’m also so excited for Considering Yourself Kissed and Storybook Ending, and trying to find some summery romances for the season.
Welcome back! I'm very excited about May reading - Home of the American Circus is at the top of my tbr, Second Chance is another one I think I'll like- the premise reminds me a bit of The Last Romantics which I loved
What a happy surprise to have you in my inbox this morning!
I recently enjoyed Woodworking by Emily St James- audiobook production was excellent. In March, I loved Wild Dark Shore and Death of the Author.
Aw thank you!
