Hi! We just got back from Maine, too, and I loved reading The Guest Book by Sarah Blake while there. It’s the best best book I’ve read all year! It’s set on a private island off Camden and centers around a family grappling with generational tragedy and money. I loved Sherman’s! I’m also reading Tom Lake....and I just finished Little Monsters. I found the beginning slow but Brodeur does such a wonderful job pulling the stories together that I loved it in the end! Another great Maine book btw is Haven Point!
Didn’t visit any of the actually good bookstores in Maine unfortunately... next time hit Stone Soup in Camden and Carleson & Turner, Yes Books, and Green Hand in Portland
I just finished Talking at Night and you weren't wrong! It was outstanding.
Sorry…meant to type YOU literally devour books! I snack on them!
Very good report, Kath. I literally devour books!! I’m in awe.

Just finished A Very Typical Family by Sierra Godfrey in one day (audio). It's the Libby read of the month and I had no expectations - and loved it!
Sounds like a great summer!
