Somehow it’s (now over) halfway through the year and while my reading has been fairly mediocre (until now!), there have been some great backlist gems and fantastic new releases.
I really enjoyed Bear, such an interesting and sometimes weird story- that ending was quite unexpected but then the more I thought about it, it made complete sense. I've been holding onto Nightwatching for the fall when the weather gets colder.
Thanks for shouting out the interview. I'm finding LITTLE ROT hard to recommend because of how much folks can tolerate. Glad it is was hit for you!
Same! Like they said in the interview, content warning everything. It's one folks will definitely have to figure out for themselves if it's for them.

Yes, the ending! It made me mad at first, but I honestly think it's the perfect way to end their story. Nightwatching will be perfect for fall/winter.
I also loved God of the woods, and I want to read Nightwatching soon!
Yes! Save Nightwatching for the colder months, unless you need a winter book to take a break from the real life heat.
My library hold for Little Rot just came in so I am super excited to read that this weekend!! My halfway through the year Top Ten are

⭐️Ministry of Time
⭐️When We Were Birds
